Crisis

Our crisis service is for you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis, feeling suicidal and in need of urgent support to keep you or a loved one safe.

How we can help

Our crisis team can help if you need urgent mental health support. This includes times when you might otherwise need to go to hospital for your mental health.

We offer a range of support accessible to everyone, offering triage, advice, signposting to other support services, and follow-up appointments. We also conduct thorough face-to-face assessments and consultations.

How to get help

If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis, please phone crisis support for free on the numbers below.

The phone will be answered by NHS call handling staff, who will take your details and the reason for your call, forward this on to your local Crisis team who will call you back.

Who can call?

You can call for yourself, or someone else. NHS111 is for all ages, including children and young people and those with neurodevelopmental needs.

If you’re deaf or have hearing loss, please use the following link to be connected to local crisis service: NHS 111, sign video (opens in new window).

If you aren’t able to make the call yourself, then anyone can call on your behalf, for example a friend, carer, loved one or even your GP. You can also access NHS111 online (opens in new window).
