People who are making new year’s resolutions to be more active in 2024 are being invited to take part in a month-round charity challenge to raise funds for Doncaster’s hospice.
St John’s hospice in Balby is running a ‘healthy for the hospice 2024 challenge’ throughout January and urging local people to be sponsored to be active for 30 minutes every day throughout the month to raise much needed funds, while enjoying the benefits to their overall wellbeing.
St John’s Hospice fundraiser Tracey Gaughan said, “Anyone, of any age can take part and they can decide to be active in whichever way they want, whether it’s skipping, running, or even pumping weights at the gym, everything counts!
“Just raising as little as £1 every day will mean someone could provide £31 to help us provide the best possible care and support for Doncaster patients and families when they need it most.”
To sign up simply visit the St John’s Hospice events (opens in new window) and the team will send you all you need to know to get you started.
St John’s Hospice is run by Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Trust (RDaSH). For more information on how to support St John’s Hospice, please visit St John’s Hospice (opens in new window).
